Easter Seals New York To Host 23rd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic


The Easter Seals New York will host its 23rd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic on July 9 at Elmwood Country Club. Over 130 golfers will participate in the event, creating a great day of friendly competition while raising funds for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. 
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with breakfast, some time on the practice range, and a putting competition, with the tournament officially kicking off at 12 p.m. The event will feature a reception, banquet dinner, auction, raffle, and award ceremony following the tournament. All proceeds from the event will benefit Easter Seals New York Programs in Hudson Valley, including Child Development Centers, an after-school program and a monthly Community Outreach Program.
"The Billy Martin Golf Classic is the perfect way to have a fun, friendly day of competition while fundraising for an incredible cause," says Edward V. Vicinanza, Chairman of Easter Seals New York Hudson Valley Regional Board. "I'm very excited to be a part of such a wonderful event with great community support."
Easter Seals New York has partnered with sponsors Entergy, Greenberg Traurig, Inca Kola, Wells Fargo, and The Shaw Group to create a fantastic event. The tournament play will feature a putting contest, hole-in-one prizes, and a $50,000 JetBlue Challenge shootout. Celebrities will be in attendance to lend their support to Easter Seals New York's mission, including New York Yankees All-Star pitcher Mariano Rivera,Jim Burt and Curtis McGriff of the New York Giants, and comedian Jackie Martling.

In the Hudson Valley region, Easter Seals New York currently operates four Child Development Centers, an after-school program, and a Community Outreach Service Center.
